to visit the 38th international trade fair FASHION INDUSTRY

The 38th International Fashion trade fair FASHION INDUSTRY will be organized in St Petersburg, Russia, on 8-11 September 2011. The organizers of the event are FarExpo exhibition group, Rostextil concern and Textilexpo close corporation.

The main goal of the trade fair is to create optimal conditions for exhibitors production demonstration, successful professional experience interchange in the sphere of fashion technologies and business organization, establishing of new business contacts and treaties conclusion, analysis of the fashion market and competitiveness of own production. Being one of the most important fashion events in the North-Western part of Russia, the trade fair now welcomes over 280 leading fashion companies from Russia, Europe and CIS countries and several national expositions such as Italian, Bulgarian, Finnish and Scandinavian countries expositions.

Business programme of FASHION INDUSTRY

The most important event of the trade fair’s business programme is XIV Economic Forum of the Fashion Industry.Over 400 fashion specialists and experts take part in the Forum. They are chief managers of manufacturing companies and store chains, designers and technologists, representatives of high educational schools and mass media. Among the most popular subjects of the forum are

• the future of Russian clothes and textile market
• fashion trends of up-coming season
• fashion company profit increase
• management and planning of fashion store assortment
• effective use of communication channels for one’s promotion on the fashion market

For the third time since 2010 in the frames of FASHION INDUSTRY the project Fashion Exclusive will be organized. The project will exclusively present selected Italian brands to Russian buyers of high and up-middle segments. Traditionally Fashion Exclusive will be organized in the Corinthia Nevskij Palace Hotel (Nevskiy pr. 57) and in the evening all guests are invited for a fashion show of Italian clothes and accessories collections.

Special Buyer Programme during the trade fair is traditionally oriented to trade companies purchasing managers. The programme is created and realized to increase the effectiveness of buyers work during the trade fair.

FASHION BUYER AWARDS contest is aimed to develop marketing communication on the market of clothes and accessories in North-Western part of Russia. Contest winnersare chosen by the branch experts by means of open voting on the on the informational portal www.rustm.net (Russian Trademarks). The contest for the best multibrand store is realized in following nominations: location (attendance; groups of visitors), merchandising (show-window and signboard; sales area: design, layout, garments hanging, fitting rooms; store style; cleanness, light, sound; information; price tags; etc), assortment (matrix width; associated goods; positioning), BTL (POS; actions; кpromotion campaign; etc), personnel (competence; loyalty, politeness, interest; individual work with clients). On September 8 winners of the contest will be awarded with with a special prize – the Economic Forum of the Fashion Industry VIP card for all events free-of-charge visiting.

The event that attracted additionally fashion specialists attention is GENERATION NEXT - the creative projects of young fashion specialists contest. The competition is participated by young specialists – students and graduating students of specialized high educational schools: the St.-Petersburg State Art-Industrial Academy of A.L.Shtiglitsa, the St.-Petersburg State University of Service and Economy, the St.-Petersburg State University of Technology and Design, the Leningrad State University of A.S.Pushkin, the Ivanovo State Textile Academy, Petrozavodsk KGPU. The head of jury is Maya Kuznetsova, the director of Innovation Educational Technologies Bureau, Saint Petersburg. Each visitor of the trade fair could become a member of a public jury and give his vote to some participants.

Daily during the trade fair presentations and fashion shows of new collections of Russian and foreign manufactures were organized.
