Economics of Russia is rapidly developing as well as world cargo transportation volume is increasing. In this respect the role of the North-West region as a traffic center of international significance is considerably rising.

The North-West region has outer boundaries with the near abroad and the EU countries that is why it is important for the economy of the whole country. This is economic territory for Russian, import, export and transit cargo operations and transshipment. Thereby, logistic and transport market is one of prospective, developing areas of the North-West region.

Saint Petersburg is the largest trade and transport center of Russia. It is situated at a crossroads of the most important thoroughfares connecting Russa and Europe and it is very attractive for direct cargo transit. At present a considerable part of investments is directed at development of the logistic and transport complex of the city. Demand for forming of  a land infrastructure of Saint Petersburg grows with every passing day, particularly in construction of a powerful logistic and transport centers which enable increasing of port freight turnover.

Topicality of the exhibition "Logistics. North-West" is caused by rapid industry development, necesserity of solving such problems as improving of services provided by logistics companies, demand for building of modern highly-equipped warehouse complexes, imperfection of a legislative base, importance of refresher training of logistics personnel, etc.

The exhibition "Logistics. North-West" is an active contribution to development of the Russian economics.
