Economic Forum of the Industry of Fashion

In Autumn 2013 Economic Forum of the Industry of Fashion included 10 events with over 465 participants from Russia and abroad. Representatives of over 100 retail store chains, department stores and shops came to the Forum from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ivanovo, Vologda, Perm, Orel, Voronezh, Yoshkar-Ola, Kostroma, Murmansk.

Special Buyer Programme

In autumn 2013 the Fashion Industry International Tradefair was visited by 5070 specialists (the total amount of visitors was 10 627 people). They were owners of retail shops, sellers, wholesale purchasing agents, distributors and importers of fashion garments from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Pskov, Nizhnyi Novgorod, Velikyi Novgorod, . Business centre was open for buyers and wholesalers during all days. It was a special platform for negotiations and consultations. From 10 till 13 October 2013 the new project Vacancies’ Fair was organized together with the biggest Russian recruiting portal HeadHunter and presented at the Fair. The aim of the project is to attract high-qualified specialists and young and talented workforces in the industry. Daily business-consultations were held at the Trade Fair. It was organised together with PROfashion magazine under support the consulting company ART. Dozens of people asked practical advices from the consultant.

The National Exposition of CHINA

The National exposition of Chinese producers has been presented in St. Petersburg at the Fashion Industry International Trade Fair for the first time. 23 companies have presented their collections to Russian buyers. The wide choice of goods from the segment medium and medium-plus has been showed to visitors: clothes for men, women and children, outwear, lingerie, home textile and accessories. Also producers of fabrics and fittings were shown at the exhibition. One of the biggest holdings in China- Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) Cooperation- has participated the Fair. It includes 22 companies, which produce the goods of textile and clothing industry. Daily companies from Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) Cooperation showed designers collections at the catwalks.

The National Exposition of ITALY.

The National Exposition of Italian Companies was presented at The Fashion Industry International tradefair. Famous Italian manufacturer such as Co.Ba.Tex. Italia, Studio Lovini, Maglifico Vema, Dal Mondo, Interpiume, Samaf, Seastar Milano and Raganella, which were located at the stand Area Italia, presented their new collections of women’s and men’s clothes (including large sizes garments, outwear, lingerie, outwear and house accessories).

The National Exposition of SPAIN

For the first time Spanish association of textile and clothing industry FITCA has presented the leading brands, which have already had a working experience in the Russian Market. Such companies as Escola, Old Taylor, Haussman, Javier Arnaiz and others have showed newest collections of men’s and women’s clothes and found distributors in Russia.

The National Exposition of SRI LANKA

6 companies- producers from Sri Lanka have participated the Fashion Industry exhibition for the first time and showed wide assortment of garments made from cotton, silk and knitwear. The participation of companies was under support of Sri Lanka Export Development Board, which support and develop export of the country. Since 2005 textile and clothing industry demonstrates stable growth, and nowadays garments’ export from Sri Lanka is about 10 billion US Dollars per year.

The National Exposition of MONGOLIA

Under support of Mongolian Chamber of Commerce 10 companies has participated the exhibition and demonstrated the garments and accessories made from leather, cashmere and wool. Buyers could see a big variety of products: bags, belts, clothes, shoes, outwear etc.

Competition of creative projects “GENERATION NEXT”

In autumn 2013 “Farexpo” Exhibition group together with Bureau of Innovative Educational Technologies hold The Open contest for young designers “Generation NEXT”, which was presented in a new format. In this competition over 20 young designers took part and showed their creative ideas and exclusive collections. For the first time there were 2 nominations: traditional one- The Costume and the new one- Textile. There were 15 textiles designers and 13 costum’s designers from St. Petersburg High Professionals Universities. The winner of the Costume nomination has become Olga Fedorovich with her collection “Metamorphosis”, for the Textile nomination- Maria Nikolenko with “Background”.

  7. Informational support from Trade and Commerce Chambers of Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Murmansk, Petrozavodsk. Distribution of over 1100 invitation cards and info brochures to traders and specialists of North-Western region.
