42 International Trade Fair Fashion Industry was held in Peterburgskyi SCC from 10th till 13th of October, 2013. Organizer is exhibition company FarEXPO.

The Fashion Industry exhibition is the main event for the industry in North-West region of Russia. This event gathered together 288 companies from 16 countries. Many foreign companies has attended the show for the first time. 5 National expositions - from Italy, Spain, China, Mongolia and Sri Lanka- were organized during the exhibition with the support of either associations either government bodies.

Exhibitors presented knitwear, outwear, lingerie, textiles, leather accessories, shoes, fittings and equipment. Nowadays the Fashion industry is a unique business- platform in North-West Russia for making new contacts, effective exchange of experience, presentation new collections and analysis of Russian fashion market and competitive products.

One of the central places at the exhibition is taken by Economic Forum of the fashion industry. The Program was open by a conference “Forming of cluster of the fashion industry in St.Petersburg. Problems and prospects”. During the event specialists has discussed common goals for modern companies of St. Petersburg, questions of communication between government bodies and business-structures and particular problems of fashion-business. Also many different trainings, seminars and master-classes were holding during the forum.

The Open contest for young designers “Generation NEXT” was presented in a new format. For the first time there were 2 nominations: traditional one- The Costume and the new one- Textile. The judges had admitted a very high level of contest samples and modern ideas of showing them. The winner of the Costume nomination has become Olga Fedorovich with her collection “Metamorphosis”, for the Textile nomination- Maria Nikolenko with “Background”.

From 10 till 13 October 2013 the new project Vacancies’ Fair was organized together with the biggest Russian recruiting portal HeadHunter and presented at the Fair. The aim of the project is to attract high-qualified specialists and young and talented workforces in the industry.

Daily business-consultations were held at the Trade Fair. It was organised together with PROfashion magazine under support the consulting company ART. Dozens of people asked practical advices from the consultant.

This edition of the Fashion Industry exhibition was visited over by 10 627 people, over 53% from professional visitors were buyers.
