Economic Forum of the Industry of Fashion

Over 250 experts from various regions of Russia, Finland, Italy, Estonia visited the 11th Economic Forum of the Industry of Fashion in spring 2010. Over 65 agents from Russian trading networks, department stores and shops came from Moscow, Irkutsk, Velikiy Novgorod, Vologda, Murmansk, Tver, Kursk, Tyumen, Cherepovets, Stavropol and other cities.

Program of the Forum included 7 events:

  • Conference “Trade in new conditions: suppliers, formats, assortment management”
  • Seminar “Fashion trends”
  • Master-class “Ways to increase sales in the conditions of consumer’s income decrease”
  • Seminar “Shop management as a management of a fashion brand”
  • Seminar “How to value your client to make him value you”
  • Master-class «Modern flesilines in patchworks»
  • Seminar “New standards of personnel management and motivation in a fashion shop”

SPECIAL BUYERS PROGRAMME

In spring 2010 a Special Buyers Program was participated by 66 trade companies from Pskov, Omsk, Ufa, Saint Petersburg, Velikiy Novgorod, Kalinindrad, Stavropol, Smolensk, Syktyvkar, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Fryazino, Ekaterinburg, Saratov, Apatity, Bryansk, Dmitrov, Yaroslavl, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Penza, Archangelsk, Vologda, Syastroy.

In frames of the Special Buyers Programme a contest for “The most active buyer” was organized. The winner of the autumn 2009 had become Ekaterina Petrunina, the director of “CATARINA” store chain. She was awarded a special prize – Certificate for participation in all events of Economic Forum of Fashion Industry.

For the first time in the frames of the fair a contest of FASHION BUYER AWARDS was organized. The contest was participated by buyers of North-Western region high evaluated by exhibitors. Criteria for evaluation were reliability, financial discipline, paying capacity, awareness of consumer’s demand at sales points, professionalism in assortment management, awareness of garments and its promotion onto the market. The winners of the contest have become trade companies that had got the maximum of voices during open vote on http://www.Rustm.net. The vote was held on February 4 -27, 2010.

    Yablonex-Sever, store chain “Cheshskaya bizhuteria” (Saint Petersburg)

Winners were given with special prizes – Certificates for participation in all events of Economic Forum of Fashion Industry.

National exposition of Finland

In spring 2010 at the Fashion Industry International Fair a national exposition of Finland was organized. On March 2 a “Day of Finland” was arranged to present Finnish trademarks for Russian buyers and mass media. Presentations were made by NP-collection, Finnkarelia and Nini’s Belts. 33 specialists were registered to visit the event. Visitors were from St Petersburg, Pskov, Omsk, Ufa, Velikiy Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Stavropol, Smolensk, Syktyvkar, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Fryazino, Ekaterinburg, Apatity, Dmitrov, Yaroslavl, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Vologda.

National exposition of Bulgaria

In spring 2010 at Fashion Industry International Fair a National Exposition of Bulgarian Companies was presented. On March 4 a presentation of Markam, Boryana, Vayana and Anex was organized. The presentation was followed with collections’ demonstrations at the main podium of the fair.

National exposition of Italy

In spring 2010 at Fashion Industry International Fair a National Exposition of Italian Companies “Area Italia” was presented. At the exposition visitors could see new collections of ladies’ and men’s clothes, outwear, clothes for home and accessories of Interpiume, DPM furs, Romeo Gigli, Pozzi, Camiceria Gandolfi, BAP, Vema, Pan Am, Sama, Calze Elit, Egos. A presentation of Italian brands for fashion specialists and mass media was organized on March 4. 36 specialists were registered to visit the event from Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Pskov, Omsk, Ufa, Velikiy Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Smolensk, Syktyvkar, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Fryazino, Ekaterinburg, Apatity, Dmitrov, Bryansk, Krasnoyarsk, Penza, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Saratov, Syastroy.

National exposition of Lithuania

For the first time in spring 2010 at Fashion Industry a National Exposition of Lithuania was presented. At the exposition visitors could see new collections of ladies’ and men’s clothes, outwear, home textiles and accessories presented by Lelija, Roze, Omniteksas, Eustilija, Optima Vestra, Dana Ir Ko, Mega Euro Group – Meg, VVK, Presentation of Lithuanian exposition was done at Business Center of the fair on March 4. To visit the event 51 specialists were registered from Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Pskov, Omsk, Ufa, Velikiy Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Smolensk, Stavropol, Syktyvkar, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Kaliningrad, Fryazino, Ekaterinburg, Apatity, Bryansk, Dmitrov, Krasnoyarsk, Penza, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Saratov.

National exposition of Byelorussia

In spring 2010 at Fashion Industry International Fair an exposition of textile and clothing garments of Byelorussia was presented. On March 4 at Business Center a presentation of Byelorussian companies was done. Speakers for the presentations were the following companies: “Mogilevskiy Textile” (Mogilev), “Orshanskiy Lnokombinat” (Orsha), “Sukno” (Minsk), “Kamvol” (Minsk), “Grodnotextile” (Grodno). To visit the event 29 specialists were registered from Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region, Velikiy Novgorof and Pskov.

Competition of creative projects “GENERATION NEXT”

In spring 2010 “FAREXPO” in cooperation with Innovative Education Technology Bureau organized “GENERATION NEXT” - the Third International Contest of creative projects of young fashion professionals. Participants of the contest were over 40 young specialists of fashion garments. According to the voting of professional juries a Grand prix winner became a collection “Cosmos” created by Julia Chulkova, a student of Design Institute of St Petersburg State University of Textile and Design.

  11. Organization of regional trade business delegations from Velikiy Novgorod, Pskov,Vologda accompanied with cities’ Administrations, TV and mass media.
