SPECIAL-PURPOSED SUPPORTING PROGRAM

Economic Forum of the Industry of Fashion

Over 200 experts from various regions of Russia, Byelorussia and Finland visited the 9th Economic Forum of the Industry of Fashion in Spring 2009. Over 60 Russian trading networks all over the Russia were represented by agents from Arkhangelsk, Cherepovets, Ekaterinburg, Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, Petrezavodsk, Rostov-na-Donu, Saint Petersburg, Severodvinsk, Volgograd, Yaroslavl’ etc.
Program of the Forum included 7 events:

  • Specialized Conference «Fashion-industry during a crisis times». «Rossiyskie Torgovye Marki» portal (Saint Petersburg)
  • Seminar «Sales management and perfect client service as a struggle against crisis». “Personnel ESTO” training company (St Petersburg)

SPECIAL BUYERS PROGRAM

In spring 2009 a Special Buyers Program was participated by 46 trade companies from Arkhangelsk, Cheboksary, Cherepovets, Ekaterinburg, Kostomuksha, Moscow, Murmansk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Penza, Perm’, Petrozavodsk, Pskov, Rostov-na-Donu, Saint-Petersburg, Smolensk, Syastroy, Tver’, Velikiy Novgorod and Vyborg.
At the same time with Buyers Program e new contest for “The most active purchaser” has started. The winner of the autumn Fashion Industry Fair became the Director of Baltiysky Veter store chain Galina Volodina. She was awarded with a special prize – Certificate for visiting all of the events of Economic Forum of Fashion Industry.

PROJECT “DAY OF FINLAND”

For the first time in spring 2009 at the Fashion Industry International Fair a national exposition of Finland was organized. On March 12, 2009 a “Day of Finland” was arranged to present famous and new-coming Finnish trademarks for Russian buyers. Presentations were made by 5 Scandinavian clothes and accessories companies: Finnkarelia, Belttie, NP-collection, Nini’s, Turo Tailor and Textile and Clothes Association of FINATEX. Visitors of the event were 25 specialists from St Petersburg and Moscow.
In the frames of business delegations gathered by Association of Finnish retailers and Helsinki Art and Design University over 40 Finnish specialists took part in the work of the fair and its business program.
During the Ceremony of Grand Opening in the evening a catwalk of Jukka Rintala was arranged.

PROJECT “DAY OF ITALY”

Traditionally at the Fashion Industry and National Exposition of Italian Companies “Area Italia” was presented. Visitors of the fair could see new collections of over 10 Italian brands of men’s and women’s clothes, children’s clothes and accessories.

COMPETITION OF CREATIVE PROJECTS “GENERATION NEXT”

Firstly at the fair in Spring 2009 there was an International Contest of creative projects for young professionals of fashion industry GENERATION NEXT. The contest was organized by FAREXPO and Innovative Education Technology Bureau under informational support of Russian Trademark Internet Portal.
According to the voting of professional juries a Grand prix winner became a project of promo souvenirs “Trikoluty” created by Maria Panova, a student of Ural State Art-Architectural Academy (Ekaterinburg).

  6. Distribution of personal invitation cards to the chiefs of the key trading companies and specialists of the market of the fashion by means of courier service: About 4 000 invitation letters
  7. Cooperation with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the North-western region of Russia: more than 800 invitation letters were distributed among the professional purchasers and experts of the industry of fashion in such cities as Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Murmansk, Vologda, Lipettsk
  8. Attraction of region trade business delegations to the fair: Organization of bus delegations from the cities of Velikiy Novgorod and Pskov escorted with TV and mass-media
